Leadership Development Program debate

This weekend, on 17 and 18, the fifth meeting of the Program for the Development of Leaders - PDD of the Dom Cabral Foundation took place at Casa Del Pino. FDC professor, Itamar Miranda Machado, developed the finance module, showing participants how much financial management impacts business and business.

According to the professor, the purpose of this course is to bring to managers in all areas the importance of the concept of finance for the decision-making process. According to him, the commercial manager, for example, must wonder if, one more day for a customer to pay, it will reflect in the company's cashier. In the same way, the purchasing sector has to know what is the reflection of a longer term day with the supplier. Already the industry personnel have to understand that to buy a machine or an equipment, this new acquisition has to give some return to the company. "We understand that finance is a pillar of support for the company and managers in all areas, not only the financial area, have to understand the concept for the decision making process, always linked to the strategy of the company that operates," explained the Professor Itamar.

The manager of Kerbermix, Erechim unit, Viviani Brum de Camargo Moscato dos Santos has been participating since the first module and said that the experience has been inspiring and great. For her, each discipline has privileged those present with professors who have a very rich range of knowledge and experience, experienced in companies of the most diverse segments. "A relevant aspect of the course is that all disciplines have been conducted in a dynamic way. Teachers present us with alternatives to return to our jobs with information and tools that help us think about business strategies and translate this thinking into practice. Another aspect that has added a lot of value is the exchange of experiences between the participants of the course, during the dynamics in the classes, "explained Viviani.

Regarding the module this weekend, the manager of Kerbermix said that it became evident that managers in all areas and not just the financial area need to know the concepts that encompass the financial of a company in order to know how the financial information influences and can collaborate in the business decision-making process. "Knowing the financial cycle, the need for working capital, and how they influence business results, is essential information for companies, especially the economic scenario in which we currently live," he said.

The next and last module of the Leadership Development Program will take place on December 8th and 9th, and will address the theme "Project Management", in which the participants will have the opportunity to discuss the conceptual and pragmatic bases necessary for the management of projects in organizations , methods, techniques, instruments and tools, always aiming at the sustainable evolution of the company.
